yeah, that was a rather disturbing experience, that museum and the area around the place, but i suppose that was the point. i was in japan as part of a student exchange program my school had set up when i was in ninth grade, and i still remember all the paper cranes all over the place, thousands of them just piled up in corners and so on.

when my bro went, his exchange program went to a hiroshima carp game, which would have been really nice to help balance out the incredible weight of the a-bomb memorial visit. that's some heavy stuff.

i hear there are still places around hiroshima, in the countryside, where you have to close up your windows and drive really fast through them, too. yeesh.
